Giuseppe Quintarelli’s Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is widely regarded as one of the absolute benchmarks of the appellation. Produced only in the finest vintages, this wine embodies power, finesse and timeless elegance.
The blend is dominated by Corvina and Corvinone, complemented by Rondinella and small amounts of other historic varieties. Deep ruby-red with garnet reflections. The nose is intense and layered, offering aromas of dried plums, cherry jam, spices, cocoa, tobacco and balsamic notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and concentrated yet always refined, with velvety tannins and a majestic, exceptionally long finish.
Following several months of appassimento, the wine is aged for many years in large Slavonian oak casks, followed by extended bottle ageing. It is released only once optimal balance has been achieved.
Serve at 18–20?°C, with game, roasted or grilled red meats, or aged cheeses. A monumental Amarone with outstanding ageing potential.
