Arbois Vin Jaune

Domaine Rolet Arbois Vin Jaune is one of the Jura’s most iconic wines and represents a centuries-old winemaking tradition. This exceptional cuvée is produced exclusively from 100% Savagnin and reflects the unique character for which Vin Jaune is celebrated throughout the world. Domaine Rolet regards this wine as one of the estate’s great classics.

This Vin Jaune stands out for its authentic style and remarkable personality. Thanks to its unique ageing process, the wine develops a distinctive character and impressive complexity that are hallmarks of the great Vin Jaune wines of the Jura.
Made from carefully selected Savagnin grapes, the wine is aged for a minimum of 6 years and 3 months under a veil of yeast. This traditional maturation method lies at the heart of Vin Jaune and gives the wine its unmistakable identity.

Serve at 12–14°C with seafood, fish dishes, or cheese.

One of the most distinctive features of Vin Jaune is its iconic 62 cl bottle, known as the clavelin. This unique format is reserved exclusively for Vin Jaune from the Jura and represents the quantity of wine remaining from one litre after the mandatory 6 years and 3 months of ageing under a yeast veil. During this extended barrel maturation, the wine is never topped up, allowing part of the liquid to evaporate, the so-called angel’s share. The 62 cl volume therefore perfectly symbolises the traditional production process and remains one of the most recognisable features of this legendary wine style.
