Banditella Rosso di Montalcino is a refined organic wine from the Banditella Vineyard, situated on a south-facing hill overlooking the Orcia River at an altitude of 250–300 meters. Planted in 1998 with carefully selected Sangiovese clones derived from Col d’Orcia’s genetic heritage, the vineyard forms the basis for one of the finest expressions of Brunello di Montalcino.
Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for over a year in barriques and casks made from oak sourced from Allier, Fontainebleau, and Blois. The result is a wine displaying a deep ruby red color, an intense, broad, and well-balanced bouquet with hints of ripe red fruits, vanilla, and toasted aromas, and a full, elegant palate with mature, persistent tannins leading to a long, pleasant, and fruity finish.
