Barolo Cerretta is an exceptional and deeply meaningful cru from Serralunga d’Alba, first released in 2020. The vineyard has been part of the family for nearly thirty years, but only recently were the vines mature enough to reveal their true potential. Produced from a massal selection of the finest plants from the Bricco Fiasco cru, this wine stands as a symbol of patience, vision and five generations of craftsmanship.
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red colour with intense brilliance. The nose is expressive and layered, offering aromas of black cherry, wild berries and plum, complemented by refined notes of menthol, sage and a saline minerality. On the palate, the wine combines explosive energy with precision and elegance: powerful and concentrated, yet refined and harmonious, leading to a long, vibrant finish.
Vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts and a very long maceration of around 55 to 60 days. The subsequent ageing of thirty months in large oak casks enhances structure and complexity without overshadowing the expression of terroir.
Serve ideally at around 18?°C. Perfect with refined game dishes, slow cooked red meats, truffle based preparations or gastronomy with depth and character.
This Barolo is intended for lovers and collectors of great cru wines: impressive in its youth, endowed with exceptional ageing potential and an emotional significance that makes it a true milestone within the estate.
