From the heart of Serralunga d’Alba, this Barolo Margheria embodies the power and complexity that are so characteristic of this terroir. Old Nebbiolo vines grown on clay rich soils with tufaceous marl give the wine structure, depth and a pronounced mineral character. It is a Barolo with an energetic personality and a clearly defined sense of place.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby red colour with garnet highlights. The nose is intense and layered, offering aromas of black fruit, liquorice and spicy notes typical of the Serralunga style. On the palate, the wine is powerful and concentrated, supported by firm, ripe tannins that frame the structure and provide density and length, with a persistent, saline mineral finish.

Vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts and a very long maceration of around 55 to 60 days. Ageing for thirty months in large oak casks deepens the structure and enhances the wine’s earthy, mineral character.

Serve ideally at around 18?°C. Excellent with game, slow cooked red meats, truffle dishes or robust stews.

This Barolo is intended for lovers of powerful, terroir driven wines: impressive in its youth, yet with great ageing potential to refine and deepen over many years.
