This Barolo is a harmonious blend of Nebbiolo sourced from seven different vineyards in Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d’Alba. Old vines and white calcareous soils provide depth and complexity, while the combination of diverse terroirs naturally brings together power and finesse. It is a classic Barolo with remarkable balance and a clearly defined identity.
In the glass, the wine shows a bright, deep ruby red colour with garnet reflections. The nose is refined and inviting, offering sweet aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and a subtle hint of liquorice. On the palate, it combines structure and body with elegant, ripe tannins and a pronounced fruity core, resulting in a long, well balanced finish.
Vinification is carried out with indigenous yeasts and a long maceration of forty to forty five days. The wine then ages for twenty four months in large oak casks, enhancing complexity without masking the fruit expression.
Serve ideally at around 18?°C. Excellent with game, red meat, truffle dishes, rich stews or mature cheeses.
This Barolo is aimed at lovers of classic, well balanced top wines from Piedmont: already impressive today, yet with the potential to refine and develop gracefully over many years.
