Benuara Tenuta Presti e Pegni Sicilia DOC from Cusumano is a refined blend that effortlessly combines the power of Syrah with the Mediterranean suppleness of Nero d’Avola. Grown at 300 metres altitude, with southern exposure for the Nero d’Avola and southeastern for the Syrah, the grapes enjoy a slow, balanced ripening.

Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel delivers a smooth mouthfeel, after which 80% of the wine matures in inox tanks to preserve its vibrant fruit character, while 20% ages in 20-hl oak barrels for subtle spiciness and added complexity.

In the glass, Benuara dazzles with deep ruby red and violet hues. The aroma opens with a rich array of blackcurrants, blackberries and ripe cherries, lifted by violets, delicate pepper and a hint of rosemary. On the palate, a core of juicy red and dark fruits is balanced by warm, rounded tannins, while touches of cocoa, leather and dried thyme shape a long, warming finish.
