This pure Chardonnay comes from a parcel in Cortevaix, near Cluny, on an east–west facing slope with calcareous fossil soils. Thanks to the local microclimate, which balances ripeness and freshness, the terroir yields wines with refined minerality and a distinct Burgundian signature.

In the glass the wine shows a clear, pale golden colour. The nose is open and intense with fresh, primary aromas of citrus and white stone fruit, supported by subtle floral notes. On the palate it is lively and balanced: a fresh entry, pure citrus accents and a fine minerality provide structure, while the texture remains elegant and approachable.

Harvesting is done by hand; the grapes are brought to Fuissé and gently pressed with a modern pneumatic press. The must ferments in temperature controlled tanks to preserve all aromas; malolactic fermentation proceeds fully and the wine is bottled around March following the harvest, which ensures purity and freshness.

Serve at 8–10 °C; ideal as an aperitif and with seafood platters, delicate fish dishes in sauce and light white meats.

This Burgundian Chardonnay will appeal to lovers of fresh, gastronomic Chardonnays and has an ageing potential of around three years or longer, offering pleasure both now and after a short period of bottle development.
