Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Blanc

Domaine Chanzy's Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune originates from the higher-altitude vineyards of the renowned Côte de Beaune. Thanks to this elevated location, the Chardonnay benefits from cooler conditions that promote vibrant freshness, beautiful tension and refined aromatic expression. Officially recognised since 1961, this appellation is known for producing elegant white Burgundies with an outstanding balance of fruit, finesse and terroir character.

In the glass, the wine displays a brilliant appearance with pale straw-yellow hues and shimmering golden reflections. The nose opens with aromas of white flowers, complemented by delicate notes of honey and gingerbread. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and elegant, with a fresh core that preserves the distinctive character of Chardonnay. Its gentle roundness is perfectly balanced by lively minerality and an appealingly long finish.

Following a gentle and slow pressing, fermentation takes place in large oak casks and 450-litre oak barrels. The wine is then matured for ten months in oak, followed by five months of refinement in stainless steel tanks. This approach adds depth and complexity while maintaining the refined fruit character and purity of the wine.

Serve this white Burgundy at around 12°C with escargots, refined fish dishes, wok-fried vegetables, shellfish or fish served with creamy sauces. It also pairs beautifully with goat's cheese, Bleu de Bresse and aged Gruyère, highlighting its elegant and gastronomic character.
