Case Via Pinot Noir is an elegant Pinot Noir from Fontodi, originating from the Case Via parcel in Panzano in Chianti with a west-facing exposure. Vinification is carried out by spontaneous fermentation on indigenous yeasts and an extended maceration of about four weeks in terracotta amphorae, followed by 18 months’ aging in French oak barriques, which gives the wine finesse and subtle oak nuances.
In the glass, Case Via Pinot Noir shows refined aromas of red and dark fruit with floral undertones and an elegant, slender structure. Production is limited to around 3,000 bottles per year, contributing to its exclusivity.
Serve at about 14–16 °C in a large Burgundy glass; delightful with poultry, soft cheeses, light ragouts and mushroom dishes.
