From Pessac Léognan, the Château de Fieuzal Blanc 2023 is a Grand Cru Classé that clearly and convincingly expresses the estate’s terroir. The 2023 vintage was distinctly terroir driven: ample rainfall together with deep, fine gravel soils provided ideal water availability, while intensive vineyard work and a prolonged harvest delivered outstanding grapes. The result is a white wine that combines freshness and precision with a strong sense of place.
In the glass the wine shows a pale golden colour with clear reflections. The nose is fresh and very pure: first peach and ripe apricot, then citrus notes that evolve towards mineral nuances of flint and chalk. On the palate it is pure and taut, finishing with a bright, slightly bitter character that gives the wine breadth and length.
Vinification follows Fieuzal’s hallmark approach: careful pressing, controlled fermentation and ageing in acacia and oak barrels to preserve purity and build complexity. The combination of considered pressing and barrel élevage produces a wine of fine structure and aromatic precision.
Serve at around 10–12 °C. This Blanc is an excellent match for refined shellfish, roasted bivalves, delicate fish preparations and gastronomic dishes that highlight purity and minerality.
A wine for lovers of elegant, terroir driven white Bordeaux: immediately enjoyable for its freshness, with ageing potential supported by pronounced minerality and complementary oak structure.
