Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes comes from an exceptional 1.9 hectare parcel located near the famed slopes of Montrachet. The south west exposure and the limestone and clay rich soils give this cuvée striking purity and fresh aromatic precision, hallmarks of Chassagne.
In the glass, the wine shows a pale golden colour with a delicate sheen. The nose is complex and inviting: floral notes and fresh citrus zest mingle with apricot, light honeyed nuances and a subtle touch of vanilla. On the palate it is refined and well structured; the texture is elegant, the acidity taut, and the mineral backbone delivers a precise, long and graceful finish.
Winemaking follows a classic, meticulous approach: hand harvesting, whole cluster pressing and cool fermentation in oak barrels (around 16 °C for 15–20 days) to preserve both complexity and freshness. The wine matures sur lie in French oak barrels, with beautifully integrated wood and a clear focus on terroir expression. The parcel is farmed with environmental respect and forms part of the estate’s organic approach.
Serve at 10–12 °C. An elegant partner for foie gras, fine shellfish, grilled or sauced fish dishes, and characterful regional cheeses such as Époisses or Brillat Savarin.
