Chassagne Montrachet from Domaine Chanson comes from six carefully tended parcels in the heart of the village, bordering the Premiers Crus and ideally oriented to the south east and south west. The clay , sand and loess rich soils give this Chardonnay both ripeness and refined structure; a representative village expression with the elegance characteristic of Chassagne.
In the glass, the wine shows a pale golden colour with a subtle sheen. The nose opens fresh and floral, with clear notes of stone fruit and citrus, complemented by fine vanilla and oak nuances. On the palate, the texture is compact and precise: pure fruit, lovely tension and an integrated touch of oak that enhances complexity without overshadowing freshness; the finish is long and refreshing.
Winemaking combines traditional care with modern precision: hand harvesting, whole cluster pressing and cool fermentation in oak barrels to preserve aromatic freshness. The wine matures for about 10 months on fine lees, partly in stainless steel and partly in French oak, building structure and roundness while maintaining terroir expression.
Serve at 10–12 °C. An elegant partner for foie gras, grilled fish, fine shellfish, delicate white meats and characterful regional cheeses.
