Cornas 'Saint Pierre'

Cornas Saint-Pierre is a powerful Syrah from Cornas, originating from a terroir at 400 meters altitude. The wine has a deep crimson red color with garnet tones and a nose with aromas of ripe red fruit, blueberries, fig leaf, and spices. On the palate, it is broad and full, with velvety tannins and a complex finish with hints of sweet spices and cedarwood. Vinification takes place in rough concrete vats, followed by aging for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels (20% new oak). Excellent when paired with partridge with girolles.
