Crianza

Viña Salceda Crianza comes from the heart of Rioja Alavesa, a region known for elegant, well balanced red wines with a modern touch. This Crianza combines the freshness of the Atlantic influenced climate with the ripe, full expression of Tempranillo and Garnacha, resulting in a contemporary Rioja with a lively character.

In the glass, the wine shows a ruby red colour with purple hues. The nose is intense and layered: soft, sweet vanilla notes from the ageing appear first, followed by spicy accents of white pepper, bay leaf and nutmeg. Black fruit forms the aromatic core. On the palate, the wine is full and rounded, offering a beautiful balance between volume, ripe fruit and a fresh, vibrant acidity that brings tension and drinkability. The finish is juicy and inviting.

Vinification begins with destemmed grapes and a five day cold maceration, followed by a controlled ten day alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, after which the wine ages for 12 months to build structure and complexity.

Serve at 16–18°C. Excellent with grilled meats, stews, lamb chops, spicy tapas and semi hard cheeses; also a great choice for a relaxed evening with charcuterie and small plates.
