In the land of Don Quixote, El Vínculo was born, the winery where the Fernández Rivera family produces the great red wines of La Mancha. Across these vast, arid and rugged plains, the Tempranillo grape, locally known as Cencibel, develops a bold and expressive character, shaped by the extreme continental climate and the vineyards perched between 650 and 750 metres. This wine represents tradition, dedication and the ambition to showcase the true quality that La Mancha can offer.
In the glass, El Vínculo Crianza displays a deep purple colour with a bright violet rim. The nose reveals a beautifully defined bouquet of blackberries and blueberries, seamlessly blended with notes of vanilla, roasted nuts and subtle oak tones, all stemming from its ageing in American oak barrels. On the palate, the wine shows a modern, clean style with flavours of black cherries, vanilla and a hint of orange zest. Ripe, silky tannins give it an elegant structure and a long, refined finish.
After careful selection, the grapes are destemmed, fermented in stainless steel, and then aged for 18 months in American oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing. This maturation imparts its characteristic notes of cocoa, caramel and roasted nuances, harmoniously interwoven with the fruit and supported by the sandy and clay-based soils of the estate.
Serve El Vínculo Crianza ideally between 12–14°C. It pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, small game such as partridge or hare, and hearty dishes from the Castilian kitchen.
