Kieselberg

This Grosse Gewächs is a true Deidesheim Riesling, with undertones of elegance and character. The soil consists of red sandstone and an abundance of river pebbles—remnants of a thousand-year-old encounter with the Rhine. Add a touch of sun, wind and perfect ripening, and you get a wine that’s softer than the Forster GGs, yet just as mineral-driven.

Fermentation and maturation took place 80% in Doppelstück barrels (2400 liters) and 20% in stainless steel, without technical intervention. The wine remained on the lees for several months, developing its silky texture and spicy finesse.

Intense fruit, a subtly spicy undertone and rich elegance.
