Mâcon Fuissé from Curveux is a fresh, terroir driven Chardonnay grown on clay limestone soils with east to northeast exposure. The vineyards (1.23 ha) are densely planted and hand harvested; vines aged 30–40 years produce grapes with concentrated aromatic ripeness and a clear, pure expression of the soil.
In the glass the wine is clear and bright with a slight greenish sheen. The nose is open and fresh, with distinct citrus accents and a pronounced liveliness that leans toward a round finish. The first sip confirms this profile: a lively, fresh attack with citrus tones and a pure, direct flavour that remains elegant and approachable.
Vinification follows a traditional approach: hand harvest, classic fermentation and about eight months’ ageing in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and pure fruit. This careful treatment highlights the natural acidity and the wine’s clean fruit character without excessive oak influence.
Serve at 8–10 °C; excellent as an aperitif and with seafood platters, delicate fish in sauce and light white meats. This Mâcon Fuissé is aimed at lovers of fresh, gastronomic white wines seeking immediate drinking pleasure.
