Nastagio

This Brunello di Montalcino Nastagio is always released a year later than the standard Brunello, comparable to a Riserva. Maturation in tonneaux (500-liter oak barrels) followed by aging in traditional large “botti” results in a powerful, concentrated, and pure wine. Ruby red in color, it offers a rich bouquet of black cherry, dried flowers, sage, and cedarwood, complemented by a subtle smoky note. The palate shows great finesse, with sweet red fruits and spices balanced by lively acidity. Fine, well-integrated tannins lead to a clean, long finish. This gem of a wine is best left to rest in the cellar for a few more years to reach its full potential.
