Pierre Péters Cuvée Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a non-vintage blend from four top parcels in the Côte des Blancs (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Cramant, and Oger), complemented by about 20 % of the finest reserve wines. With a minimum of 36 months’ sur lie aging and a low dosage of 2 g/L, this Extra Brut reveals the pure power of 100 % Grand Cru Chardonnay.
In the glass, it sparkles like crystal with a soft golden glow and green highlights. The mousse is fine and consistent, forming a graceful ribbon of effervescent bubbles. The nose opens with elegant white blossoms, hawthorn and honeysuckle and develops hints of freshly baked bread and toasted almond.
On the palate, the attack is taut yet creamy, with a delicate blend of white flowers, hazelnut, and refined citrus accents. The finish is incredibly long, offering a refreshing sea-salt note and a subtle mineral character that unmistakably testifies to the chalky terroir of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
