Pouilly Fuissé “Les Vignes Blanches” comes from old vines (around 70 years) planted on clay limestone soils with a southeast exposure. Densely planted parcels and low yields produce grapes with concentrated ripeness and a clear expression of the terroir; the result is a Burgundy that balances richness and minerality with elegance.
In the glass the wine shows a clear, golden yellow colour with a glossy sheen. The nose opens with roasted hazelnut and soft vanilla notes that develop into white flowers and subtle floral nuances. On the palate the attack is lush and inviting: ripe apricot brings generosity, followed by a full, silky texture and a fine toasted oak accent that gives the finish length and finesse.
Vinification is traditional and meticulous: hand harvest, classic fermentation and 10–12 months’ ageing in a combination of stainless tanks and new oak barrels. This approach preserves fresh fruit while developing a refined oak touch and a round, harmonious structure.
Serve at 10–12 °C; ideal with seafood and delicate shellfish, refined fish dishes with creamy sauces and light white meats. This Pouilly Fuissé is aimed at lovers of classic, terroir driven Burgundies seeking a balance of richness and freshness; with good ageing potential it offers immediate drinking pleasure as well as room to develop in the cellar.
