Pouilly Fuisse

Pouilly Fuissé “Origine” from Domaine Joël Curveux is an elegant, terroir driven Chardonnay that blends classic Burgundian character with a fresh, contemporary touch. The name comes from the assemblage of the first parcels owned by the Curveux family. The vineyards yield concentrated fruit with clear minerality and refined acidity, making the wine both immediately appealing and gastronomically versatile.

In the glass, the “Origine” shows a clear, luminous golden hue. The nose opens with ripe white fruit and citrus, followed by notes of white flowers and a subtle toasty nuance. On the palate the wine displays beautiful fruit, excellent acidity and the necessary backbone; the texture is round and full, finishing fresh and persistent with light oak tones and balanced minerality.

Vinification is traditional and meticulous: hand harvest, controlled fermentation and eight months’ ageing in stainless steel and oak barrels. This combination of inox and oak ageing provides structure without overpowering the fruit, ensuring a harmonious integration of aromas.

Serve at 10–12 °C; excellent with seafood, delicate fish dishes, poultry in creamy sauces and mild cheeses.
