Puligny Montrachet Les Reuchaux from Domaine & Maison Chanzy originates from the limestone rich, renowned terroirs of the Côte de Beaune. This Chardonnay embodies the classic Puligny signature: taut minerality, refined elegance and a subtle richness derived from limestone clay soils and meticulous vineyard care. It is a white Burgundy that charms immediately while delivering impressive gastronomic depth.
In the glass, the wine displays a bright golden colour with silver highlights. The nose opens with notes of white flowers and lime zest, followed by ripe peach and a delicate hint of almond. In the background, fine touches of vanilla and toasted bread emerge. On the palate, the attack is fresh and precise; the mid palate shows generous volume, a pronounced mineral thread and a silky texture leading into a long, elegant and lightly buttery finish.
Vinification is traditional and carefully executed: hand harvesting, gentle pressing and controlled fermentation in stainless steel and partially in French oak barrels. The wine ages for approximately 12–18 months on the lees, with a limited proportion of new oak, adding structure and complexity without overshadowing the purity of the Chardonnay fruit.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Food pairing: ideal with fine seafood and shellfish, grilled white fish with beurre blanc, creamy poultry dishes and refined cheeses such as Comté or Brillat Savarin.
