This Rully originates from the En Rosey vineyard, a south east facing parcel in the Côte Chalonnaise known for its clay limestone soils and light marl layers. The site and soil give the wine a distinctly Burgundian character: freshness, floral elegance and enough concentration to perform beautifully in a gastronomic setting.
In the glass, Rully En Rosey shows a bright golden colour with green highlights. The aroma opens with floral notes, followed by fresh citrus, white peach and a subtle flinty minerality. On the palate, the wine is lively and fruit driven, offering a pleasant roundness, fresh acidity and a persistent, fruity finish carried by mineral tension and fine spice.
Vinification combines modern precision with traditional oak influence: fermentation in stainless steel, foudres and oak barrels at low temperature, followed by 10 months of ageing (55% stainless steel tanks, 30% foudres, 15% oak barrels of which 5% new). This approach preserves the fresh fruit while adding subtle oak nuances and texture, making the wine both immediately appealing and highly suitable for gastronomy.
Serving temperature: 11–13 °C. Food pairing: excellent with grilled fish in a light cream sauce, shellfish and crustaceans, poultry in creamy preparations and soft cheeses. Also very well suited as a refined aperitif with delicate bites.
