Viña Salceda Blanco comes from Rioja Alavesa and is made from Viura and White Tempranillo, two grape varieties that together create a fresh, aromatic and gastronomic style. Thanks to its sobre lías ageing, this white Rioja gains extra depth and texture while maintaining its natural elegance.
In the glass, the wine shows a bright lemon yellow colour with green reflections. The nose opens with lively citrus aromas, especially grapefruit, followed by white blossom and gentle creamy notes from the lees ageing. Fresh fruit tones such as peach and banana then emerge. On the palate, the wine is beautifully balanced: crisp acidity provides tension, while the lees ageing adds volume and a round, full texture. The finish is long, citrus driven and wonderfully refreshing.
Vinification begins with direct pressing and static settling, followed by cool fermentation of the different varieties separately. The blend is then assembled and aged for four months on fine lees in concrete tanks, giving the wine its creamy texture and subtle complexity.
Serve at 8–10°C. Excellent with seafood, ceviche, grilled fish, fresh salads, sushi and refined vegetarian dishes; also ideal as a gastronomic aperitif.
