Violante

Violante is the result of Rivera’s ambition to combine the classic complexity of Nero di Troia, including its signature violet aroma, with fresh fruitiness and an approachable style. This approach creates a wine that is generous and inviting on both the nose and palate, while still retaining structure and body. It is a modern interpretation of a noble indigenous grape variety, grown in the limestone-rich soils around Andria.

In the glass, Violante shines with a bright purplish-red colour. The nose opens with a rich bouquet of wild red berries, complemented by sweet violet notes typical of Nero di Troia. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, fruity and mineral, with a long, harmonious finish. This combination of vibrant aromatics and refined structure makes Violante particularly appealing and versatile. The wine is aged for 12 months in concrete tanks, followed by at least 3 months of bottle ageing.

Serve Violante at room temperature or slightly cooler. It pairs beautifully with pasta dishes featuring rich sauces, meat dishes, and, typical of the region, with Burrata di Andria. Enjoyed on its own, its elegant character comes through perfectly.
