The Moscato d’Asti Zagara DOCG from Marchesi di Barolo is a refined and aromatic expression of Moscato from the hills of Piedmont. The vineyards are located on medium textured marl soils, rich in quartz sand and fine silt, which provide a high concentration of trace elements and promote immediate, expressive aromatic development, ideal for this elegant, lightly sparkling wine.

In the glass, the wine displays a straw yellow colour with golden reflections and a fine, persistent effervescence. The nose is intense and highly aromatic, revealing floral notes of orange blossom, peach blossom, and apricot blossom. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, offering a beautiful balance between natural residual sweetness, low alcohol content, and a soft, refreshing acidity.

The grapes are strictly hand harvested and selected directly in the vineyard. After gentle pressing, alcoholic fermentation begins in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The must is then cooled and undergoes a partial secondary fermentation in autoclave, during which the carbon dioxide remains partially dissolved. By stopping the fermentation through cooling, a natural sweetness is preserved.

Serve this Moscato d’Asti well chilled at 6–8?°C, as an elegant aperitif or paired with fruit desserts, light pastries, and refined sweet dishes. With its low alcohol level and pronounced aromatic style, this is an exceptionally approachable wine for lovers of fresh, lightly sweet sparkling wines, intended to be enjoyed young to fully appreciate its pure, floral expression.
