Since 1947, Distillerie Berta has stood for Italian craftsmanship, family tradition and a distinct sense of elegance. From Mombaruzzo, in the heart of Piedmont, the Berta family has been crafting refined grappas, spirits and liqueurs for generations—products that are internationally recognised for their balance, aromatic depth and finesse.

Through these cocktails, Berta reveals a contemporary and playful side of its portfolio. Iconic expressions such as Grappa Oltre il Vallo, Amaretto DiMombaruzzo and Amaro Il 28 di Via San Nicolao are rediscovered through the lens of modern mixology, without ever losing their identity. This selection invites you to experience Berta in new drinking moments, from aperitif to after dinner.

Developed in collaboration with bartender and mixology consultant Marco Fara, this drink list is first and foremost a source of inspiration. Not a set of strict rules, but ideas to build upon, experiment with and adapt—designed to surprise guests with authentic Italian flavours.

Inspired by the Vieux Carré: intense, structured and full of character.

Ingredients

  • 30 ml Acquavite di vino Casalotto

  • 30 ml red vermouth

  • 30 ml Grappa invecchiata Oltre il Vallo

  • 1 teaspoon Bénédictine

  • 2 dashes cocoa bitter

Method
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass and serve without ice.
Finish with a lemon zest.

  • 45 ml bitter

  • 45 ml red vermouth

Method

An icon of Italian mixology: smooth, sweet and perfectly suited for after‑dinner enjoyment.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Amaretto DiMombaruzzo

  • 25 ml fresh lemon juice

  • 15 ml sugar syrup (1:1)

  • 25 ml pasteurised egg white

Method
First perform a wet shake, followed by a dry shake to achieve maximum creaminess. Serve without ice.
