Located in the heart of the prestigious Lugana and Valtènesi wine regions on the southern shore of the enchanting Lake Garda, Cà Maiol is one of the characterful estates of northern Italy. The roots of the estate go back to a farmhouse dating from 1710, but the modern story begins in 1967 when the winery, under the name Cà Maiol, systematically developed and refined the winemaking tradition of this area.

The location is sublime: mild Mediterranean climate, long warm summers and gentle winters, with the cooling influence of Lake Garda ensuring perfect grape ripening while preserving freshness and elegance. The soils are varied, calcareous, clay and moraine, and provide mineral complexity to the wines, a terroir that enhances the expression of native grapes such as Turbiana (also known as Trebbiano di Lugana).

Cà Maiol combines respect for centuries‑old traditions with modern technology. The state‑of‑the‑art winery is architecturally integrated into the landscape and designed to use gravity to process the grapes as delicately as possible, resulting in wines with balance, finesse and a clear terroir identity.

Lugana Prestige DOC

In the glass, this classic presents itself in a bright straw yellow with subtle green reflections. The nose opens with fresh citrus aromas, lime and green apple, enriched with delicate white pepper and Mediterranean herbs. Mouth‑filling and elegant, with a touch of mineral freshness and a harmonious, lively finish.

Lugana Superiore Molin

A refined expression of Turbiana with an elegant nose of citrus and white flowers, followed by a palate that combines finesse, structure and pleasant acidity. Thanks to extended ageing on the lees, aromas of ripe fruit and minerality evolve in balance.

Valtènesi Roseri

This rosé shows a delicate pink hue with scents of peach blossom, red berries and lychee, followed by a soft and shimmering minerality, perfect for summer aperitifs.

Vinification & ageing

Cà Maiol’s vinification emphasizes respect for the grape and terroir. Manual harvesting ensures optimal quality, followed by gentle pressing and temperature‑controlled fermentation, often in stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatic freshness. For certain premium wines, extended ageing on the lees or in wooden barrels is applied to develop extra complexity and texture. The gravitational production process reduces mechanical stress on the grapes and supports subtle extraction, resulting in wines with pure expression and balance.
