Cult, legendary, must-have…

In the medieval heart of Meursault, in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, lies the small yet world-renowned Domaine Coche-Dury, where Chardonnay is elevated to an art form. Léon Coche planted the first vines in the 1920s, and his son Georges expanded the family holdings. In 1973, Jean-François Coche married Odile Dury, giving rise to the name Coche-Dury. Since 2010, their son Raphaël and his wife Charline have carried the torch into the third generation, with an unwavering focus on small-scale craftsmanship, obsessive attention to detail, and a relentless pursuit of purity.

“...balance, finesse, and terroir... these are the three things necessary to make a Grand Vin...” — Jean-François Coche

Every step in the vineyard and cellar follows a strict lutte raisonnée approach. Intervention is minimal, and synthetic treatments are avoided. Grapes are hand-harvested—sometimes even berry by berry—gently pressed, and fermented with native yeasts in oak barrels. The wines are aged on the lees for 15 to 22 months with regular bâtonnage. No fining or filtration: what ends up in the bottle is the purest expression of the terroir.

Discover these legendary gems

Coche-Dury cultivates just over 9 hectares, spread across micro-parcels in six prestigious appellations. The clay-limestone soils of Meursault Village provide a rich, layered foundation, while the fine limestone of Perrières and Genevrières adds razor-sharp salinity and precision. In Puligny-Montrachet, loam and limestone yield wines of elegant freshness. On the slopes of Corton-Charlemagne, marl-rich soils give rise to wines with extraordinary aging potential. Even the reds—Bourgogne, Auxey-Duresses, Meursault rouge—reflect the domaine’s pursuit of perfection, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity, and delicate fruit.
