Gesellmann
In Deutschkreutz, the heart of Mittelburgenland, stands Weingut Gesellmann, a family-owned estate that has been producing organic wines since 1719. Under Albert Gesellmann’s leadership, hand-selected grapes from 50 hectares of limestone-rich soils are vinified in the Pannonian microclimate characterized by warm days and cool nights. Old vines over ninety years of age, combined with a blend of traditional and modern winemaking techniques, yield wines of genuine depth, structure, and unmistakable terroir expression. Gesellmann deliberately limits its production, ensuring that every bottle reflects the perfect balance of precision, tradition, and respect for nature.
300 Years of Craftsmanship in Burgenland
In the sun-drenched village of Deutschkreutz, at the heart of Mittelburgenland, lies Weingut Gesellmann—a century-old Austrian family estate crafting wine since 1719. Today Albert Gesellmann guides the domaine with a vision that marries tradition, terroir and modern precision to create wines of genuine international stature. His approach is fully organic and respectful of nature, with meticulous hand selection that evaluates each grape for quality.
Gesellmann farms 50 hectares of vineyard where the Pannonian microclimate around Lake Neusiedler provides warm days, cool nights, and a long ripening season. This, combined with limestone-rich soils, creates an ideal foundation for powerful yet elegant wines with depth. All grapes are hand-harvested, and vinification combines generational expertise with modern cellar technology. Some vines are over ninety years old, adding richness and structural complexity to every cuvée.
